The Black Bear Cabin is a beautiful log cabin located in the Green Mountain National Forest of Vermont.
Built in 2004 the cabin is conveniently located 10 miles from the town of Middlebury, 2.5 miles from the Middlebury College Bread Loaf Campus and 5 miles from the Middlebury College Snow Bowl.
Hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing can begin as soon as you step off the cabin's deck!
Mountain biking trails are close by.
Branbury State Park on Lake Dunmore is located 8 miles away. Neshobe Golf Course in Brandon is 17 miles away.
Nearby trout streams & rivers offer wonderful opportunities for anglers; we can put you in touch with local guides.
The cabin features an open loft with a queen size bed as well as a twin bed. First floor bedroom also has a queen bed. All bath and bed linens are provided. Pots, pans, plates, utensils etc are ready for your culinary delights. Land line phone & WiFi are in place; sadly there is no cell phone reception. A 32" flat screen TV and DVD player are provided. Bring your own streaming device if you wish.
Goshen Brook offers calming sounds while you enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails on the back porch.
