Property Description

If you want to immerse yourself in the charm of Dunster, The Hideaway is the ideal property for you! It is located on the High Street in Dunster with Dunster Castle and the Yarn market both within view from the front door. Conygar Tower can be seen from the living room windows and the property backs on to the Deer Park (but does not have direct access). The Hideaway is full of character, deceptively spacious and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in three bedrooms. It's a great location to base yourself for a holiday in Dunster and Exmoor (note, no working groups, this property only welcomes guests that are using it for holiday purposes).

Entrance to the property is from the High Street; the hallway provides plenty of room for hanging coats and storing your shoes. The property is all on one level on the first floor. There is an open-plan kitchen with dining area and living room at the far end. The vaulted ceiling shows off the oak beams and the wood-burner can provide the extra boost of heat during the cooler months. The three bedrooms are all located to the front of the property overlooking the High Street, there are two double bedrooms (one King-size bed and one double) and a twin bedroom. The twin beds can be zipped together to make a super King-sized bed upon request (they will be made up as twin bed unless otherwise stated on the booking form). The cot is situated in the twin bedroom. The bathroom is fitted with bath, toilet and hand basin. There is a separate shower room, and the second toilet is located in the utility room part way up the stairs from the ground floor. There is a mezzanine 'snug' above the kitchen which overlooks the living area, accessed by a unique ladder-style staircase.

Please note:
The Hideaway is a first floor apartment above two businesses in Dunster High Street; one is an art gallery and the other is a restaurant. The nature of the building means that, at times, you may be aware of people in the units downstairs.
The ladder staircase (pictured) does not provide access to any bedrooms, it only leads to the small mezzanine level above the kitchen.
No working groups, this property only welcomes guests that are using it for holidays.

The kitchen is fitted with fridge, freezer, microwave and oven with hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the utility room. A television (with Sky), DVD player and CD player is provided in the living room and wireless broadband is available throughout the property at no extra cost.

A cot and high chair is available. The cot will be set up in the twin bedroom and the high chair can be set up for you on request.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot, please bring your own.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The property is fitted with storage heaters which come on automatically. Additional heat can be provided by the wood burner in the main living area; a basket of logs, paper and kindling will be provided. If more logs are required, this can be arranged upon request (details will be provided in the property).

Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper, oil and a few herbs or spices available.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, washing powder and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided per toilet.

A parking permit for 1 car is provided for use in the National Trust car park which is approx 3-4 minute walk from the property. For additional vehicles, there is free (but not reserved) roadside parking in the High Street (outside the property) or the Pay and Display car park on Dunster Steep which is a short walk from the property.
The permit, map and further information about the car park will be left inside the property ready for your arrival.
