Property Description
Welcome to rent our bright, nice apartment in the charming fishing village of Marseillan in the southern French Languedoc. The apartment is located on the shores of the interior sea, the Etang du Thau, with oyster and mussel farms. Five minutes walk to the little harbor with a wide range of local shops, bars and restaurants with seafood of the highest quality. During the summer months are treated to many different events in the village and every Tuesday there is a market with a lot of regional specialties.
Only 4 km away is the Mediterranean with miles of sandy beaches. Where you ride in 20 minutes on the nice bike path that runs right outside the apartment and down to the sea. There are both quieter beaches and the more lively with water sports etc. Or why not cycle or take the canal boat along the Canal du Midi, which connects the Atlantic coast with the Mediterranean and culminates in Marseillan. The Canal du Midi is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Marseillan is surrounded by countless vineyards where you can buy and taste wine directly from the winery. Noilly Prat, the world-famous vermouth, produced in Marseillan and is located in the village almost next door to the apartment. A guided tour is highly recommended. If you want to play golf or hiking, there are several golf courses and great hiking trails in the area.
Shopping, for example, in the big city Montpellier, which is about an hour's drive from Marseillan, in the ancient town of Pezenas, which is a center for artists and craftsmen (market every Saturday), or in Sete which is built as Venice with its many channels and has a wonderful market hall worth visiting (market every Wednesday).
The nearest airport is in Beziers, about 20 minutes by car to Marseillan.

The apartment is located upstairs in a modern house built in 2011 and has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, freezer o microwave. Open plan living room area with dining area, sofa, armchair. One bedroom with 160 cm wide double bed. Spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. Private fenced parking.
Terrace of 15 sqm with sea views over the Etang du Thau.
Wireless internet available.
The price includes bed linen, towels and cleaning. Changeover day Saturday.
