"Casa Mariposa" is a spacious and secluded treehouse located at Finca Bellavista Treehouse Community in the South Pacific region of Costa Rica. The open layout floor-plan includes a large kitchen and dining area, complete with a gas oven and cooktop and a mini-fridge, as well as a sitting area with two double futons. The home is equipped with solar power, however during the day the home is lit by natural light from all angles. A large balcony off the main living area overlooks the rainforest and is equipped with chairs and couches for wildlife watching. The bedroom has a queen bed and a bunkbed, and the bathroom boasts a hot water shower.
With nearly 600 acres of secondary and primary rainforest - including hiking trails, gardens, rivers, swimming holes, and waterfalls - this off-grid vacation rental community is a magical place where guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest. Guests should have an adventurous spirit and be in good physical condition to best enjoy their visit.
It is worth noting that Finca Bellavista is not a fancy hotel or a 5-star resort, however modest and customized amenities provide for a simplified lifestyle in a rustic, yet comfortable ambiance. Your reservation includes daily yoga classes, parking, wifi, and the freedom to explore the property at your leisure. Food and beverage services, as well as a variety of tours/services are also available.
Free parking is available at base camp, however Finca Bellavista is a pedestrian community. Casa Mariposa is a 30 minute hike from base camp. Hiking times are averages and can vary based on physical fitness level and amount of gear needed to carry. The access trails at Finca Bellavista are gravel and rock, very inclined and rustic.
